Selfie prerequisites
Optimal conditions for selfie pictures to send to our API.
Face comparison between a selfie and the photo ID requires several conditions that must be met to be properly processed. These conditions are listed on this page.
The face must not be blurry
The following photo is too blurry. Our API cannot recognize the person or compare the face with the photo ID.
The face must be entirely visible
The following picture is cropped in the middle. Our API will not be able to recognize the face or compare it with the photo ID.
The picture should avoid any reflection
The following picture has too many reflections. Datakeen's API will not be able to give a satisfactory result and the controls will fail.
The face must be aligned
Face with an overly uneven inclination will not be processed by our tool.
The user must not be wearing a headgear or glasses
Hats, caps, scarves, and all kind of headgear should be removed before taking the picture. Sunglasses, glasses with tinted lenses or with thick frames should also be taken off.
The face must not be covered with hair
Hair should not cover the face of the person. It could prevent our API to compare the face with the photo ID.
Guidelines must be followed
Any picture that does not meet the previous prerequisites will not yield expected outcomes.
